“Garmin Street Pilot” navigation app will be discontinued by July 31st, 2017. The latest version of “Garmin Street Pilot” is compatible with iOS 10, and the latest map is 2016Q2.
By discontinuation of the app, Garmin will not offer following software and map updates; at the same time, current users can still use the app with iOS 10.

¹ FREE lifetime map updates entitle you to receive up to 4 map data updates per year, when and as such updates are made available on the App Store, for this specific Garmin product only until this product’s useful life expires or Garmin no longer receives map data from its third party supplier, whichever is shorter. After that, Garmin will not provide the Garmin product on the App Store or any free map update service. According to the data application environment, technological development and change, the revision of local laws and regulations and etc., Garmin has right to stop providing the APP download and map data update service.

Menu/settings icons disappears if used in landscape orientation. Blank black map tiles in map view at times need to zoom in/out to clear black tiles
Works but there are issues with iOS 10, and they havent updated the map since 2015! Dont buy until they update the app and the maps!

I purchased this app to compare with my garmin nuvi GPS. To tell the conclusion first, we better use nuvi at this moment. Reasons: 1. much less POI data in this app I checked some hotels around Khaolak and Phuket area, but the app contains very very limited numbers of hotel names. For example, we can not find most of all very famous resorts such as JW Marriott Khaolak or The Sarojin in Khaolak. This is very big issue that will make problems with tourists who do not know well about the area. 2. no show of very important landmarks in zoom-up map For example, Chaw Lan Lake is one of the very famous and very huge dam in khaosok area, Surathani, but the lake is not shown in zoom-up map (5km scale). This kind of unfriendliness and incompleteness will leave us frustrated, or, to make things worse, will make us lose way. I have an intense need for prompt improvement by garmin. Otherwise, this app is not worth getting with such a expensive price.
I used it in north Thailand for long time. Recommended 100% for car and pedestrian. Be afraid of using motorbike option, use car only
